Description

THIS RON HOLLAND DESIGNED SWAN 441 WAS BUILT BY METALOCK MARINE IN ROLLED MARINE ALUMINIUM TO PARTICIPATE IN THE "NEDLOYD SPICE RACE". A RACE DEDICATED TO FOLLOW THE OLD CLIPPER SHIPS ROUTES STARTING AT JAKARTA TO KAPSTADEN AND ON TO ROTTERDAM. METALOCK BUILT YACHTS IN ALUMINIUM UP TO 80FT AND BOUGHT THE RIGHTS FROM NAUTOR IN FINLAND TO BUILD A SWAN 441 IN ALUMINIUM. AFTER RACING SEVERAL YEARS IN THE CHINA SEA, SHE WAS SAILED TO FINLAND, WHERE SHE GOT HER ACCOMMODATION AND TEAK. THE OWNER OF METALOCK USED THE BOAT FOR PLEASURE SAILING UNTIL 1998 WHEN SHE WAS SOLD AND TOTALLY RENOVATED TO THE CONDITION SHE IS IN TODAY. SHE WAS SAILED AS CHARTER IN VANEREN FRESHWATER UNTIL SPRING 2005 THEN SOLD TO CURRENT OWNER. SHE HAS BEEN ALWAYS STORED INSIDE EVERY WINTER AND IN 2006 HAD A PROFESSIONAL REPAINT
